Though not successful on the 1970 Le Mans race itself, this iconic car reached legendary status thanks to Steve McQueen's Le Mans movie. As a bonus I also made the #22 car because David Hobbs is awesome.It kind of broke my heart to not include liveries as seen in Daytona, for example, with the Firestone and Sev Marchal stickers above rear wheel arch... but the version recreated in the game is of the 917k as seen from Le Mans onwards. It also broke my heart the Racing Bosch sticker was not used on the rear right wing's backside in Le Mans, so that only features on cars #1 and #2. I might add the #9 and #10 Brands Hatch 1000km cars but honestly, it may be too many Gulf Oil schemes in one game. I didn't recreate the electrical tape over the headlights because it looked unflattering.The installation steps are included in the file.
